ADMISSIONS

Just focus on your goal, we will help you to achieve it.

When we admit a student to IAS, it's as if we're choosing a team to climb a very interesting, fairly rugged mountain—together.

We obviously want student who have the training, stamina and passion for the climb.

At the same time, we want each to add something useful or intriguing to the team, from a wonderful temperament or sense of humour to compelling personal experiences, to a wide range of individual gifts, talents, interests and achievements.

We are emphatically not looking for a batch of identical perfect climbers; we are looking for a richly varied team of capable people who will support, surprise and inspire each other.

Preparing yourself for your future, have to follow two things:

  • Making sure you're ready to do the hard work, and
  • Taking the time to really explore things that interest you, both inside and outside of the Institution.

IAS offers direct admission option in all of its courses.

The direct admission is provided on the basis of percentage of marks secured by the student in his/her Board Examination or last school examination.

Each course has a specific percentage admission criterion.

However, if a student has not scored a minimum percentage admission criterion in Board/School Exam in Science & Maths (aggregate), then he/she will have to give our ‘Scholarship Entrance Test (SET)’.

IAS offers Scholarship Entrance Test (SET) to the students who are willing to admit in the specific course in which the minimum qualifying marks in the Board Exams is not fulfilled.

The syllabus of the entrance test is different for different courses and can be obtained from the information desk at the applying centre.

The admission test also gives an opportunity to the student to perform higher and get scholarship also. A student, who has been qualified for our direct admission criteria, can also sit for SET and get himself/herself a scholarship.

A student can appear in the SET for a maximum of two chances for seeking admission in a particular course.

If a student has taken direct admission and paid registration fee, admission fee & 1st instalment of the remaining fee, then he/she cannot appear for SET to avail any scholarship benefit.

If all documents and other requirements are fulfilled by the student, he/she is immediately given admission, however, in some cases provisional admission may be granted to some candidates. The reason behind provisional or temporary admission may be any of the following:

  • Incomplete documents
  • Incomplete or unsigned application form
  • Missing photographs
  • Less fee deposition.
  • Missing education certificates
  • Missing name change certificates
